Obedience Training
Hi Larry,
I’m writing to thank you
Perhaps you will remember my wife (Rose) and
I bringing our Old English Bulldog to you requesting
your help. Help that was desperately needed after
the dog that we had bought bit me and threatened my wife
( after she had reprimanded him for chewing up a book).
We had gone to friends and our family and a
local vet, asking for their advice on what we
might do to keep the dog and still feel safe. Every
recommendation was to "put him to sleep"
Because of the fact that our 14 year old
granddaughter lives with us, we came very close to
following that advice. After a few days of considering
our options our final choice was to give the dog one
more chance and find a trainer who might be able to
help.
By what can only be considered great luck we chose to
bring him to you.
Your advice at the very first meeting was to keep an
open mind and to see what basic training could
accomplish. Though Brando was already three you
advised us that your basic training course might be
beneficial to us as well as the dog. You
gave no promises just good consistent training.
We have had Brandon now for about three months and he
has become a changed animal and of course I mean for the
better.
He follows the basic commands and seems pleased to
do so. He’s a glutton for positive attention and
appears to be happier and more contented with his
lot in life
.
Of course we still stay alert to any change in his
attitude. We continue working with him and using the sit
,down and stay commands daily.
Again we wish to thank you for you patience, the
training of us as well as Brando and your willingness to
listen to our concerns and the offering of your
helpful advice.
Sincerely,
Rose & Lyle Summers
